Bike Riding You Yangs
The Region
Rising up as a beacon of singletrack adventure amid the flatlands less than an hour west of Melbourne (30 mintues north of Geelong), You Yangs Regional Park has emerged as a mountain bike mecca. Riders of all competency levels are drawn to a concentrated network of cross country and downhill trails that cut through a distinctive landscape of giant granite boulder fields.
The Trails
The You Yangs has two designated mountain biking areas that contain over 50 kilometres of fantastic trails that cater for riders of all ages and ability.
All trails are clearly sign posted with directional information and gradings. A map can be picked up from the Park Office or downloaded from the You Yangs MTB club.
The You Yangs MTB park generally deals well with rain due to the sandy terrain but at times it can close due to bad weather and maintenance so please ensure you check out the You Yangs MTB trail status at the You Yangs MTB Facebook page before you head off.
