The Region

Set within the beautiful bushland and rolling landscapes of the Great Otway National Park there are over 70 kilometres and over 16 purpose-built singletrack trails for riders of all skill levels. Forrest hosts some of Victoria's best mountain biking events each year, and is home to a craft brewery, excellent cafes and other hosts a range of other activities including walking, fishing and horse riding.

The Trails

Split across two areas  - The Northern and Southern trail networks, there’s over 70km of superb single track weaving through everything from tall eucalypts, native scrub to dense fern gullies, there really is a trail for everyone.

The northern section (Yaugher) has an extensive range of trails for all skill levels.

To get to the Yaugher trail head for the Forrest township, take a short 5 minute ride up the Tiger Rail trail to Yaugher road. Travel a few minutes up Yaugher Road and you’ll find the trail head.

The southern trails surround the township of Forrest and offer riders six great trails ranging from easy to more difficult. The southern network contains the famous Red Carpet trail that will not disappoint.
